Casting Call for HOW I BECAME A PIRATE!
The search is on for Jeremy Jacob in our Children’s Musical Theatre series production of HOW I BECAME A PIRATE! We are accepting headshot/resumes for student actors that fit the criteria detailed below now through Oct. 17th. Our Children’s Theatre director, Tina Jo Wallace, will contact those who submit with details for a video audition. Final callbacks will be invited only at the first weekend of November. A small rehearsal and performance stipend will be provided.
Students should submit a headshot/resume to wallace@derbydinner.com only if:
-student actor is male presenting
-student actor is at least 7 years old
-student actor is less than 60 inches tall
-student actor is up to date on vaccinations including covid vaccines
-student actor is able to get permission to miss school for rehearsals and student matinee performances (see schedules below)
-once rehearsed, student actor can work independently, has age-appropriate self-discipline and can memorize well
-student actor is comfortable and confident singing independently and with others and is able to learn simple dance combinations
All races and ethnicities are welcome to submit!

Submission details:
- Must be 18 or older submit.
- Video no longer than 2 minutes, with monologue and singing 16 bars on camera
- Attach digital headshot and resume
- Specify which production(s) you would like to be considered for and your availability
- Must be available for rehearsal and performances during the day and evenings
